Hey!
I don't want to use the in built rating system and I want just a simple upvote/downvote system. There are some plugins that do that but they are like from 2010. So is there and updated plugin that does that?

Have you tried using those old plugins and changed the compatibility to 18*? Many old plugins do work and just need the version changed to the MyBB 18 from MyBB 16. You can do this on a FTP software and open the plugin file from inc/plugins.
