I’d like to show post counts and thread counts of specific forums on the quick stats and full stats area of the forum. 

I run an RPG forum so we have in character boards and out of character boards, I need to count the posts and threads of each areas. Unfortunately I can’t find anything regarding this when googling for answers. 

IC Boards to count:
fids - 7, 17, 19, 21

OOC Boards to count:
fids- 5, 6, 2, 9, 10, 11, 13, 12, 14, 15, 16, 8, 18, 20, 22

Forum: 
creature-rpg.isoldehn.com (offline as the game is not open to public)

I’d like to be able to use a variable to use on the index page in quick stats and also in the full stats page (stats.php)

Preferably I would like to stay away from plugins, more so wanting to learn how to do this myself with PHP and editing core files as I mainly use MyBB as a way of learning and something to do when I'm bored at home.

Update, this has been solved using an old thread in the archives of MyBB. Had to replace a few things but it seems to be working.
