I mean when you click on a forum and it displays every thread.

There are filter dropdowns at the bottom, but they are always default on sort descending by last post from the beggining.

How can I change this default to one of my choice? Thanks.

each forum can be set to its own default sort order at the forum settings
(through forum management section in the forum admin panel)

forum admin panel >> forums & posts >> [click on a forum] >> Edit Forum Settings (tab)
>> scroll down for Default View Options >> Default Sort By [see this image]
