I think an option to disable password resets should be available (for either all users or just a certain user group (for example admins)) this would be useful during attacks againist a site if you are worried about an email account being compromised. My email provider tutanota with u2f-2fa probably is safe from lots of attacks but you can never be too careful. Thoughts?
These are the kind of major new features that should be part of 1.10, IMO.

This is a minor feature. Stop putting off everything till the next major version of MyBB and improve what already exists.
Should be an incredibly easy plugin though.
