Are you sure that friend list is commonly used on MyBB forums? What does it give you, just a list of those we've added and the ability to post to them? :/

I think it would be useful IF there was other features that you could set so only friends can use it.

I think having more use as Ben said would be good. If they enable this mentions idea discussed already. It would be possible to add an option to only be mentioned by friends in line with only be messaged by friends. Another idea would be profiles can be made private to all, but friends. I'll make a thread about the buddy list.

Buddy list shouldnt be removed, it should be improved.
