The post icon is not useful IMO, it only takes place
Same with the left panel with emoticons - in the editor is a button with emoticons, why to duplicate?

Agreed, we should have the ability to disable icons or make them a separate plugin but the in terms of the emotions some forums have them in the sidebar and remove the core code in the editor. An option to state where they display in the reply/new thread area would be ideal.

Disable thread icons options are needed.

When I updated my templates I noticed that most of template changes I made is related to thread icon stuff.

It would be nice if we had "Use thread icons?" Setting.
