When is mybb 1.10 coming out and what happened to 1.9?

Till now odd versions were work versions and 1.2,1.4,1.6,1.8 etc were stabile. At first it was expected that next version will be than 1.9 while work and next stabile version 1.10.
But there is idea to make 1.9 version stabile with few main changes before 1.10 version.

Date is not fixed, but it could be in a few months or so

well does that mean support for 1.8 will cease? From my understanding the next version was actually going to be 2.0 directly after 1.8

Support for 1.8 will be here as long as it is main version and some time after we got 1.9

First idea was making 2.0 directly after 1.8 but it will take time and version 1.8 is a bit outdated for todays software standards so we decided to get 1.10 version first. But as many of us wanted responsive theme and few other things as soon as possible there is option for 1.9.
