Can the next MyBB have force password change on usergroup scale feature?

still works in mybb 1.8 if you switch the required version number. But it seems like a common feature that it should be implemented into the core.
I mean on a server you can time out the passwords to force users to reset their passwords. Why is that not an option for MyBB core?
