So I'm kinda new into this stuff, I tried to install mybb through filezilla (im using ifastnet aka byethost to host my site) but it did not work out too well since the domain name just showed "thank you for installing mybb" but now I tried to install mybb through softaculous, it worked I guess but when i put my domain name into search bar on my browser this page comes up

Please delete that installation and try reinstalling your software.

Looks like you installed it in folder /mybb and you have some files missing somehow

Thank you so much, didn't have too high expectations but you released some stress off my shoulders!
Just try to reinstall it and post if you have any bugs / problems then

I ran into a problem, this is different than what I had to do with my old host. I tried to install a theme and the site went blank so I removed the files from my server and now it works like it used to but without a theme. What's the "new way" for me to download the theme
