I agree it will be released when its released theses guys working hard here the Developers probably have day jobs that pay there bills.

It's intentional. The thread rating is being redacted from 1.9. See this issue.

It's very nice to see you testing v1.9. If you encounter any problem/issue/error, it'll be really appreciated that you have it posted either by replying to this thread or creating an issue in MyBB's GitHub.

Maybe in the future don't make official announcements for things if you have no earthly idea when they'll be completed

Then we wouldn't make any announcements and the community would think we are working towards nothing. Most people seem to understand that we don't give guaranteed deadlines because we are a volunteer team and we can't guarantee we would have sufficient time free from real life jobs and commitments to meet said deadline.
maybe we need to shift this community.. Make it as a paid software then we can paid the developer Big Grin

 dont mind the kids that want every thing for free and dont help or contribute at all, he joined from 2017 only 3 posts
I agree with phpkiller, 1.8 is good and a major upgrade needs time. If this would have been a paid forum then it would have come out early. But it is powered by volunteers and helping mindset people.
