The mobile compatibility feature is not a secondary feature
It has now become a major feature, as engines become more mobile-friendly sites.
Now the sites that use
You will be prone to ignore search engines.
You need a compatible template and don't need to usually write the code for the program.
The other issue:
You will not be able to continue without financial income ... whether it is from selling software licenses, providing technical support services, selling paid templates, or adding non-free items there more than one way.

If the development goes on like this, then Mybb can really be called dead. We're living in 2020 and the team has been working on a mobile friendly version for years. If you always say you don't have time then there are two possibilities. Either you
finally take money or you finish the project. But going on like this is not an alternative.
I know that some feel attacked now, but that is simply the truth. The team is certainly trying hard, no question... But there are people who are leading bigger communities and finally visit a clear statement from the team. If it is not going to work out in the foreseeable future, then at least be honest with your long lasting community..

I'm not sure I understand. A donation is a charitable act to support a cause, not a purchase. I'm not sure what you expect to happen when you donate? We do have a contributors user group for contributors to the project, though I believe that's designed for people who have donated time (eg: core; or support answers; etc.) to the project rather than financial contributors.

Everybody please be realistic. No miracles can be expected from donations. I don't expect a miracle either, but I finally expect a clear statement from the team with a realistic time.
