Not bad. I like how the skin looks like vB. It also matches Gears pretty good. But I think you should have more forums about the niche of your forum, Gears itself. Also, the member profile pages are messed up CSS wise.
Good looking site. You do need to make your header transparent though because as I resized it the logo on the left fell behind your header.

Updated. Added some color.
The red on the thead_bg is way too bright, IMO. Doesn't really fit the theme.
Ok toned down the red thead_bg and made the logo transparent.
Couple of things I suggest, first get a domain name. It will help you more than you think. And I also think you should put a space between the categories.
