I am looking for a plugin that will list, sort of like the recent threads plugin, any thread that has a certain prefix on it. In my case, I want it to say open threads and any thread with the prefix "open" that thread will show up in a list on my main page. Willing to do this as a commission, just need to know price :3 thanks!

My version on Github already does this.

I uploaded that version and it installed fine, but it doesn't show up on the index. I did check the index templates and both {$recentthreadtable} & {$recentthread_headerinclude} showed up in the template
Use a modified version of the"Overview" plugin to fetch only threads with an predefined prefix.
what is the overview plugin?
It says its not compatible with mybb 1.8.14?
