My friend and I installed mybb the other day, after discussing the advantages it has over xmb and everything was working great, it's a really great forum but today my friend noticed that the Admin CP link in the navigation links to the admin panel but when you log in it goes to
http://admin/index.php and it redirects to
http://www.samag.com/ for myself and we have no idea why.
I thought maybe someone changed the config but noticed there is no url or anythin in the config file so I logged into the acp and checked the board url and it is still as it was last night so does anyone have any idea what could be wrong? Thanks
Could you please explain more so of what you guys did to encounter this problem? You said that you were able to log on into the admin cp but your friend couldn't?
If you also found out that the board URL is wrong, why didn't you changed it? (or if you did adn it didn't save, was that your original request for support?)
Well I didnt do anything to encounter the problem, per say. I woke up, got on the computer and my friend told me that she couldnt access the admin panel..when she went to log into it she got redirected to
http://admin/index.php but I myself got redirected to samag.com but I managed to get into the acp by typing in the full url [
http://site.com/admin/index.php].
The board itself is not wrong, it was right in the config area in the acp and you could access the board at the right addy that we set it up at, just the acp is acting weird and neighter of us have much php or mybb knowledge to figure out whats up so that's what I asking for support..to help figure out whats wrong.
ahh...if you can access the admin cp then do this:
admin cp / "Board Settings" / Change / General Configuration / "Board URL"
Just type in the correct URL in there and scroll down and click Submit Changes.
I have done that but it still redirects us to those pages when we try to log into it and thats why I dont understand what's going on.
