try accessing upgrade.php file directly. what does it say ?

IIRC, you were already having MyBB 1.8.14 - it is the latest available version.
can you tell us why are you trying to upgrade (from 1.8.14 to 1.8.14 ?)
regarding your access to upgrade page :
looks like there is a problem with user groups stored in the datacache.
would you like to PM me temporary access to the database & your
credentials to forum admin panel .. [you can change them later]

I cleaned mybb_datacache yesterday and after that I get MyBB Error (42), that is why I am trying to access upgrade.php.
