Not all former staff left the MyBB team on amicable terms. A blanket permission on that usergroup would not be the ideal answer. Having each person apply individually in PI sounds best.
i agree with that but in reality is this not what you have mods and staff for??
it is OK to say staff have a lot to do but i do not think you want too many chiefs if that makes any sense at all it is better to manage things with staff rather than users and whilst it is a community project you do have to draw a line somewhere.
