My suggestion is to have a page that lists all the approved developers. This would be a great link to have in the Plugin Requests forum so people who need something done can see a list of who to contact. It might also be nice to have something denoting them as an approved developer on their profile kind of like when you are viewing a project and see the thumbs up with the title Approved Developer.

I believe something like this was talked about when we were working through ideas to help streamline the workflow of the mods site. I don't know if we ever came to a consensus or settled the issue though.

Yeah, I'm not sure. I think we also talked about a usergroup image/username style too, but not sure what the consensus was.
Not sure about username color, maybe rank, but in my opinion they must be listed somewhere for sure

Great idea

Yeah i agree i think a listing system even if it is within the wiki or documentation but a more streamlined system for the mods area is a damn good idea i am not a fan of the way it is now finding access to simple things like a list of projects by the one dev is multiple clicks
a simple projects link within the postbit
I think one of the things we struggled with when we were discussing this is what qualifies a developer as 'approved', or something along those lines... is it X amount of submissions? is it X amount of submissions being checked by the team? if we allow users to rate submissions, doesn't a certain amount of rating submissions trigger an approved status?
mybb can be inefficient at times so we're trying to work through ways to make the best use of our limited time by making things more efficient.
It really needs to be a case by case basis because small plugins that take hardly any work should not count as much as ones that utilize several hooks to do a bunch of things.

But that in itself is debatable whilst in theory i agree that we do see some very simple repetitions both within plugins and themes it is a definite need to be case by case i think it should be reserved to those who do produce quality content that meets standards i think the aim of this is to identify those who can be of good help to the community so a part of this should be based on their activity around the forums.
Not being nasty in that just i think it should be about the quality of service they offer to the community and the code they write rather than just someone seeking a commercial avenue alone.
You can't really use quantitative criteria for this feature, every user has to request the approval and get revised by the team.
As per the suggestion, I don't believe a page listing all approved developers will be a good idea, you will eventually get complains and its original intend would get miss but adding something to profiles/posts and shining it up a little in the mods page could do.
