I do not like to use external hosted images. If i don't allow the [img] tag in signatures for that reason, i am not able to have a picture in the signature. So it would be a nice feature to upload a picture as an attachment and add it to the Signature.
I don't see a reason not to include attachments in Signatures, so I suggest that feature.

i could care less....as long as there is an option to disallow that
IIRC there is something like that as a plugin and it is nice, but as a core feature I won't be so sure.

I feel you should be able to upload an image - same as an avatar - for explicit use in a signature.

Attachments generally need to be downloaded to be useful.
