Jabberwock, What I coded does help out. StopForumSpam has a limit to how many inquiries a server can make per day, so by already banning the emails and IPs I don't constantly hit StopForumSpam. Additionally, when my firewall sees a request coming from a blocked IP, that's the end of the story; no resources wasted running PHP. Of course I have thresholds for how many times an IP shows up in StopForumSpam in the last 24 hours before adding it to my firewall, and a different threshold before adding it to banned IPs within MyBB. Before implementing this system, I was getting thousands of bad registrations per day.
