Hi all,

I can't login into the admin panel of my forum.


About 1 month ago I've update my website with SSL certificate and then it was not possible to log into the forum board.

I've read this topic https://community.mybb.com/thread-126359.html and this https://docs.mybb.com/1.8/administration...rmissions/
and followed all instructions but nothing change.
I've tried by changing computer, changing browser, deleting history,etc.. but still can't log in.

the address of my forum is this: https://www.thesurveyblog.com/forum/index.php

Can you login anywhere else on the forum? If not this problem is most likely caused by the cookies not being set right please see :

I've checked Domain settings by the settings.php file and those are right.
Following the domain lines as they are in the settings.php:

$settings['cookiedomain'] = ".thesurveyblog.com";
$settings['cookiepath'] = "/forum/";
$settings['cookieprefix'] = "";

I also tried with

$settings['cookiedomain'] = ".thesurveyblog.com/forum";
$settings['cookiepath'] = "/";
$settings['cookieprefix'] = "";

But nothing change.

I'm getting crazy

cookie domain can be .thesurveyblog.com & cookie path can be set to / [just a slash]

clear your browser cookies by clicking link on this page and
close your browser, reopen it & then try login process again

if above doesn't help then you may PM me temporary access to files
And your forum admin panel [though its login might not be working]

you can provide your own login credentials & change them later
however I might not be able to check it right now - can take time

I've tried all your suggestions, no one worked unfortunately.
I really can't understand why. This happens just after moving to an SSL certificates.
After the usual issues with images, links, redirecting, etc.etc everything is working but this.

I can't check current version of MyBB since I can't log into the ACP, but if I'm not wrong should be 1.8.13

I've noticed that by clicking on Need to register? | Forgotten your password?  nothing happens or (sometime) I get Error 500.
Is this helpful? May be issues in the index.php

Thanks to .m. we were able to fix the issue, not to understand, but to fix it at least.
Apparently, looking at the Administrator Log we've found 2 unusual activities dated few weeks ago, definetely not done by me.
First one was to change username from "admin" to "moderator" and the second one was to delete 8 user accounts. that's it (I hope). Nothing else (neither the password was changed).
That's why none of the usual solution wouldn't work.
So in order to help someone else, if none of the mentioned solution works, remember to check your logs in order to find "unusual activity".
