Hi, im new to MyBB and i was wondering on https://docs.mybb.com/1.8/install/ it says "To access the installer you must navigate to the
install/
directory of your site in your web browser. For example, if your domain is example.com and you uploaded your MyBB files to the root directory then navigate to http://example.com/install, or if you uploaded to a
forums/
 subdirectory then navigate to http://example.com/forums/install.
How do i find my domain? Huh Blush
The domain is your websites URL like http://example.com/ so it will be like http://mybb.com/ or http://mybb.net/ but instead of mybb it’s going to be your domain.

Now if your talking about where you forum is located well let me explain. If you uploaded MyBB to your root so "/" or "public_html/" depends on your web host the URL will be http://YOURDOMAIN.com/install or if you create a new folder in your root and uploaded MyBB to it, it will be http://YOURDOMAIN.com/FOLDERNAME/install.

Oh I know I just grabbed it off google it’s a example image so it doesn’t have the mybb files just ignore it.
Im Still Confused!!!!
If you have MyBB uploaded let me know your sites URL and I will find out for you.
Did you buy a domain off godaddy?1and1? or you trying to do localhost? or are you thinking you are automatically assigned a domain based off your SSN ?

It seems you don't have a domain name if you are stuck at this stage. You need to avail of a hosting company first then register a name ( that's the <yourdomain> stage you are stuck on) and purchase it. Then use the Control Panel that comes with it to access the inbuilt File Manager to see the above folder image that Brian. provided. You can also use a free ftp utility like say FileZilla to access your domain/server either which will also show you a similar folder listing.
