Hey,

With this mod/hack you can make sure, the avatars stay within a serten limit. This makes shure you don't get oversized avaters.

When oversized, it will spawn an error message, displaying the current size, and the max size.

It also works with uploading avaters.

Another feature is, looking if an offsite avatar is bigger then a few KB's (512 default, enabled default)

In totall this mod does when submitting an avatar:

- Checks if image is dead (can't be set off)
- Checks if image is bigger then a dimension (can be set on/off, and the size can be customized)
- Checks if image has a valid protocol & extension (can't be set off)
- Checks if image is bigger then a size in KB (can be set on/off, and the size can be customized)
- Checks if a user has display no avatar, if not it will get an avatar of your choice (can be set on/off, and can be customized)

- Added default avatar options if no avatar is selected
- Changed setting stuff (group, titles & explanation)
- Added a legenda in Avatar usercp, which displays all the setting details

This well help alot of people with there avater problems... Thax Da Dude!

Needed to make it for my own (future) board anyways, and what better way to share some of my work

Maybe i will also make something (only talking about offsite avaters)
- To check if the image is a correct url (image working and stuff)
- If no avater, then a default avater
- No avaters bigger then a serten size
- Only avaters with extension JPG, GIF etc..

And call it advance avater tweaks.

Doesnt seem to work when a user uploads from his pc. i get avatar changed successfull no matter what. Is this only for the url link or for the upload too?

That means, only avatars which are hot-linked and not uploaded into the forum that this will only work.

Well, i don't know if i should implent this also with upload, since it can be set through the size (kb).

But i will have a look @ it

If u can it whould be usefull cause even if u have 20kb max size avatar a 200X200 gif can be 5k

OK gonna work on a new version. Now with:

- No avaters bigger then a serten size (kb)
- To check if the image is a correct url (image working and stuff)
- Upload check size

Checking avater size (upload) works now

Now working on the other 2 features, but having some problems. But don't worry i will fix it
