This is my first time using myBB and I'm having a few issues getting things to display properly, the main one that's currently causing me issues the "Last Post" text not displaying correctly. Seeing as this is my first time using the software, I don't know where I should be going to edit/fix this issue. (Please see the attached image)

Can anyone offer some input please? I can't link to the forum currently as It's hosted locally while I get used to the software.

Inspect with dev tool. You need to identify the broken html part first before identifying what causing this ...

Could you elaborate a little please? I understand what a 'dev tool' is but not sure what I'm looking for exactly? This is my first time using myBB so everything is new to me.

exactly which version of MyBB you have installed & which theme you are trying ?
