I have tried multiple times to remove the password and I checked the permissions but I can't figure it out. Please help! It has a weird lock symbol that none of my other posts have either.

For thread use the "Moderation Options" dropdown at the bottom right, Select "Open/Close Thread" and press "Go"
If it is a locked (passworded) Forum then go to
ACP > Forums & Posts > (click on the specific forum name from the tree) > Edit Forum Settings
Under "Additional Forum Options" remove the password (set the field blank) > Scroll to the bottom and click "Save Forum"
