so i have decided to use smtp instead of hosting an email server but i have the info set for gmails smtp server and nothing is happening. username is the [email protected] password is right and i have the host name set as smtp.gmail.com I've tried both ports for ssl and tls ports and they booth didn't work. what do i do to set up smtp correct.



INFO:
Running the latest versions of everything on raspberian (also the latest) MyBB version is 1.8.15 and everything is localhost.

do you mean to say "registration mails are not reaching users" ..

it is often difficult to get SMTP working with localhost.
