I don't know what you meant by "mega_menu ". But if you need to add a menu like that forum's header you can add them via,
ACP >> Templates & Styles >> Your theme >> Header Templates >> header

Or if you need to make a sidebar like that forum, you can use this plugin.

A mega menu is a menu that drops where you can put several things, see photos.

Because it's not part of the theme, I know because I bought the theme but thanks for the link, that's the one I was looking for.

I did PM WallBB on his site though about myalerts but he seems very busy.
