I find it strange it isn't default but I read the forum a lot and when in a thread someone says go there>and there it's hard to look up because it's not alphabetically ordered.

For example the Configuration Settings is:
Banning
Custom Profile Fields (so far so good)
Smileys
Word Filter
MyCode
etc

It's like this all throughout the ACP, would be a lot more handy if it was all on alphabet.

I think it may have to edit core file to do that. Can't be sure!

I think it's more because some things are used more often than others, so are placed higher.

The easiest way to sort them would probably be a plugin that uses javascript to re-order the links, rather than modifying core files (as some are added by plugins anyway).
