+1 Hint : If you are using caching service like Cloudflare, you may need to purge cache for whole forum & set cache time to minimum value.

Another thing to consider is that most modern web browsers will show a "Login Not Secure" or similar message when the site asks for login credentials but is not forcing a secure connection (SSL), I would recommend getting a free SSL certificate from either Cloudflare or Let's Encrypt.
