i can't upload any theme it says

• MyBB could not find the theme with the file you uploaded. Please check the file is the correct and is not corrupt.
  

Does your cache/theme folder have the correct permissions? It should be writable (777).

sometimes exporting a theme gives ou errors
easy fix
opn the theme xml file with notepad and the 2 bottom lines should like this

</templates>
</theme>


sometimes is missing the last ">"
