So as of recently, Ive took it upon me to finally try and sort out and fix this mail problem Im having, but as expected, I have failed xd.

Anyways, I'll get into the specifics:

(Please note that I disabled email for activation, but it obviously remains for forgot password, this is how Im attempting to fix it)

Have you tried using PHPMail?

No, I havent. I mean it's worth a try but surely smtp would be alot easier to setup right? also I dont know if this has to do with anything, but clicking on the email error log, it says its sent from [email protected] instead of the gmail account I provided. Strange.

SMTP is definitely the more reliable option but it would be interesting to see if PHPMail works.

Ok will try it. Where abouts is the file for me to set it up? I cant seem to find it online.

It's difficult to say without seeing the setup. It's pretty late here but if you PM me over an admin account I can take a quick look before heading to bed.

Still having the issue, I ended up changing the administrator mail in Site settings, but still, I get a 101 error :/
