Hello all,

I had the problem that my forum background didn't change. I searched for many solutions on the internet but I found only:"Not solved" (should be brief enough). I thought that there must be a problem with the CSS-Files so I changed the global.css in "any kind" i.e. I placed e.g. "background: url(images/mybackground.jpg) no-repeat center center fixed;" to the 3rd line instead of the 2nd line, hoping that it would work. Change & Pray was my motto. Today, at 21:50 GMT +0 I finally found the problem. It sounds probably weird now but it's working with this little change. It's maybe a MyBB issue? I don't really know.
I looked on my forum url and I saw that it was https://www.xyz-abc.com/forums and not https://xyz-abc.com/forums.
I finally logged in to the adm cp then I went to: Configuration -> Settings -> Site Details and added to my homepage url and board url the "www". I used http before. I didn't have to use the "www" before so I never ever thought that this little problem would change anything. Finally (  Big Grin  ) it changed my forum background!
Maybe this little instruction & bug report would help users and developers!

Sincerely Sauron!
Ah, I was just going to suggest purging your cache. Glad you solved your problem.

Ok. I didn't think about that because we were talking about the forum software. Anyway, cleaning the browser cache also didn't solve anything. Only this little change solved the problem.
interesting post, it might help me as well.
