Hello, can somebody tell me how can I change what options new users have already checked by default at registration time. I want users to by default have the receive notification e-mails thing checked.

I believe you can use Dennis's Default User Options plugin to do this; You can find it at the mods site: http://mods.mybboard.com/

If you want users to receive email notification on registration, all you have to do is:

Admin CP => Board Settings =>Change => User Registration and Profile Options => Registration Method => [select] Send Email Verification => Submit Changes

If you want (as admin to receive email notification after each registration), download and activate this mod:
