Can you Test MYBB first without fully installing?

at present basic functionality of MyBB can be tested on a few third party hosts

Or just install in your system locally using virtual server. That will allow you to practice the installation process too.

Testing locally will be more comfortable in my opinion. Yes, you will have to install in that.
