Hi,
I have updated mybb version to 1.8.3 and member.php is not working. What should I do now should I go back to the older version. I have searched a lot but nothing worked for me here is my forum register link.

You do know that MyBB version is now up to 1.8.19. Right?

You do know that MyBB version is now up to 1.8.19. Right?
But I am unable to update now to new version. I am getting "
There was a problem communicating with the version server. Please try again in a few minutes." when I am trying to check for updates.
That's not a stock error. So for a start you can undo whatever it is you installed there, and run MyBB stock, then the problem will be solved.

Can you tell from which MyBB version did you update ? Also are you seeing any error in error.log
There are two easy options in any case (Make sure you have a backup)
1. If you have update to 1.8.3, try to replace the member.php from the 1.8.3 package (
https://blog.mybb.com/2014/11/20/mybb-1-...-releases/)
2. Also you can update to MyBB 1.8.19 with full update package (
https://mybb.com/versions/1.8.19)
Please tell me how to update to new version as my "Check for updates" link is giving an error.

Thanks I have just solved the problem by going into my cpanel and surprisingly I found that member.php file is no where on my site. So I have uploaded the file and now its working. Thanks.
