The php mail doesn't work and the smtp gmail option didn't work even though gmail made me lower my security level to use it.
If there is an up to date fix for that I could be pointed to, I would appreciate that.
I saw some fixes with php code, but Mybb is set up on an nginx server I have edited different codes on it, but not php.

Somehow, the emails I sent to my emails didn't work. But everybody else got emails.
I am not worried about that.
I think there are some fixes in the latest version for other things too, but that's another thread

In order to fix it I did everything, but namely used my email server from my business site's smtp mail server.
PHP mail never worked.
I think some of the help answers I find here and online for MYBB are for older versions that had issues that have been corrected in the later ones.
