I took over a friends forum and have all the files.  In the old forums, he had a sidebar with information (on mybb 1.6.x).  I've upgraded to 1.8, installed the database, updated plugins, images, etc.  Everything seems to be okay except the sidebar.  It just shows a button "change style" which I want to remove and add the old setup he had.

Anyone know how to find what he had and figure this out?

Can't really help without a link to the forum to further inspect html/css needs.

For sidebars try Advance sideboxes plugin (adb)
