How do I add a new activated user into another usergroup if conditions are met...  What i'm trying to do is those who activated their accounts (Awaiting Activation) will be in, by default 'Registered'  plus if the optional fields has been filled upon (i.e. ID) in the registration, they will also be included in another group ('Trusted') ...

Manually go to ACP > Users & Groups > Edit user Profile and Settings. Click on Profile tab > Select "Additional User Groups" desired; Save. I do not know if the "Done with a custom plugin" above means you have a solution. If so, my apologies for the interuption. Continue on.
