I want to remove soft delete functionality from the forums. When I click on a post to delete, I want it gone. If I need to restore it, I installed Trash Bin for a reason. I may as well just unapprove posts and threads, but that doesn't give me any peace of mind. I'd like a more convenient way to delete posts and threads permanently, without having to scroll down and do it that way.

Soft delete is for moderators whom admins might not trust completely. If you are an admin, there is a hard delete option.

there is no "button"
you have the moderation tools and there you find an option with "permanently"
You can completely disable the soft delete functionality from ACP.
ACP > Configuration > Settings > Posting > Enable Soft Delete for Users
By disabling (selecting No) the same Delete buttons in postbit will work as permanent delete button.
Not to mention this thread is 6 years old, you can create a new one if you need help.
