Don't know why it hasn't been implemented yet but if anyone has a plugin the enables Desktop Notification capability, I'm interested in buying or hiring.

You will need a plugin which supports web-based push notification. I think there are some push notification plugins for MyBB, not sure.

I tried that plugin the plugin only works in the default theme and has been abandoned in terms of support. In addition it only works when your on the site. What I need is a plugin like this https://github.com/marcandrews/mybb-gcm-...ifications witch support which supports notifications without needing to be on the the website in browser instance. The problem with plugin i listed is that it also is an abandoned and and a fundemental service of the plugin "GCM" has been deprecated. If someone can rewrite portion of the code to replace GCM with firebase, the plugin would probably work again.
