I'm using amateur radio call signs for usernames, and have configured the main part of the forums to show the added field which is the persons name. 
What I want to do is make this same change in the admin member list panels.  See the two attached screenshots. 
I would appreciate it if someone can tell me the location/file name to find this.

Have you attempted to have a look under the hood at the files* in: admin/modules/user*  perhaps?

Yes, but the admin files seem to be very hard to search through.
It seems to point me to something like user-users
