We have just upgraded from 1.6.15 straight to 1.8.19, and settled on the classic theme for the new look.
Our users are a picky bunch and are disappointed that the date/time is now missing from posts. It used to look like this:

Dateline is fine in Classic theme for 1.8.x

Thanks. Yes, it came good. They are still getting used to the idea that yesterday doesn't need a date!
