This plugin insert favicon in your forum.

Plugin by Tomik.

DOWNLOAD | Change Log | Bug Tracker | Translations | License

Instruction:
  1. Upload the files from "Upload" to your MyBB root directory.
  2. Go to ACP > Configuration > Plugins.
  3. Activate plugin.
  4. Go to ACP > Configuration > Favicon.
  5. Enable plugin.
  6. Paste the link to favicon.

Good work, I hope all theme authors include favicon by default in their themes.
It is good for users.
You need a plugin for this?

Favicon plugin should be something else, basically which generates icon of different types and size as per various device requirement from a single uploaded image.

I hope not!
No serious designer will do so. A favicon is an absolute individual badge of the site.

As effone mentioned, there is no reason for a plugin to add a favicon at all. It's just a file and a static code line.
Save resources/performance and do not pump up the forum system Smile
