So I had all the necessary plugins installed in my fresh mybb installation which was in php 7.2

Then I performed the merge from phpbb 3. During the merge there were some warning showing related to my php version so I changed the php version to 7.0 and then I performed the merge. And it is successful.

Now all the plugins (including the My Alerts plugin) are working but only the Thank you/Like system isn't working. It is present in my ACP but not in my site. Any theory to resolve it.

Contact @Whiteneo regarding this, it is possible that this plugin might not be compatible with MyBB 7.2.

If you re-read what the original poster stated...

He did "downgrade" the PHP version to 7.0.x.
