I'm sure I've done this before but forgot lol been away for a while, I'd like to know how I can add avatars in whos online member bit rather than username.

This one does that. The plugin is not complete though. But you can use as is it is there and its working.
I need more time to finish.

That one works but how can I link profile and when you hover over the avatar username shows?

Check the code.
Use the username as title instead of text.
