First question. I'm running a 1.6.12 and wasn't sure where to post this questions, which mean I need to upgrade to 1.8.x before I can get support. Correct?

My issue is 29 users were dropped on Feb 3rd. Is there a way to determine why (ex: pruning). And can I view which users were removed?

If the users just suddenly disappeared, then yes, it is more than likely the User Pruning Task.

On top of what @Wires stated...

Those 29 users that were pruned... are probably not coming back.

So, I wouldn't waste my time worrying about those. If any of them do come back, they can always start up a new account.

If you don't wanna auto-delete your users disable user pruning.
If you want to warn members having only eyes about their account prune possibility you may use a plugin I coded for 1.6.x years back ...
