what exactly is the problem ?
does username has a * at the end or is it the complete username ?
does username has a * at the end
Special characters in username is not allowed.
If you opt out to be visible from other general users then yourself, admins and mods can still see you with a * at the end of your name indicating you have opted to be invisible.
