I am new to this forum, I want to build a community forum with MyBB. and I am trying to install in 000webhost first before install in my direct website. when Enable search engine friendly URLs? in my Forum I am getting an error like
404. That’s an error.
The requested URL was not found on this server.
If I try to change htaccess.txt to .htaccess I am not even able to access Admin CP. showing below error.
Application error
An error occurred in the website and your page could not be displayed. If you are the website owner, check your logs for details.
can you please help me how to resolve this issue. your Help is Greatly Appreciated.

have you checked error log at the web host panel ?
if search engine friendly URLs are turned on then
htaccess.txt file should be renamed as .htaccess
if that is not working then there could be a problem
with mod_rewrite module on your web server. please
contact your webhost to fix that
my hosting says mod_rewrite is enables
can you check if .htaccess is correct
