Seems like there's a trouble with your theme. Was it ok before you activate the plugin ?
If no, can you try revert to the MyBB original theme and check if the sprites are there ?

My forum icon sprites are still in my image directory, how can i revert back? what do i need to do.

Quick update, i have fixed the issue, so my sprites are back.

go in ACP > Templates & style, then set the default theme as default and apply it to all users.
