As posted in the dev thread link

Would be nice to have the images uploaded to the forum compressed automatically, similar to how WhatsApp,FB, Twitter etc. handle their uploads.  I think such a feature will help the boards greatly in the "fight" with the social media platforms.

Hope this will get in the dev's plan some time in the future.

What library do they use to accomplish this? Is it open source? Is it commonplace / easy to install?
