The oddest thing happened. I am using Windows 2000 Pro with IIS, and I had the BB message board up and running. Then I tried to reinstall it and now it cannot connect to MySQL Server 5.0. It connected before now it just won't it says could not connect to localhost or database does not exist but it does. I put in the same info as before. I think it is having a problem with connect to the tcp/ip socket. It worked before and now its not working. I am kind of new to MYSQL, but once i restarted the computer this problem I think started. Did anyone ever have this problem and could anyone help slove this problem.

No the problems before were with the db extensions, if you read the thread you would see this is a different issue. I solved that issue.

Ah ok I see, one of our staff members made that mistake then.

However, this still has nothing to do with MyBB and therefore we don't provide support for it. I'll go ahead and move to Chit-Chat
